Focusing on models rather than numerical problems
- Emphasis is placed on identifying the underlying structure of the system.
- Students identify or create a model and make inferences from the model to produce a solution.
- A few basic models are use again and again with only minor modifications.
Research Based Teaching
Physics Education Research (PER) refers both to the methods currently used to teach Physics and to an area of pedagogical research that seeks to improve those methods.
In this laboratory Physics students learn to practice the activities of scientists eg. – asking questions, performing procedures, collecting data, analyzing data, answering questions and thinking of new questions to explore.
