Social Work in collaboration with Project WHY

Project WHY is a flagship program of Sri Ram Goburdhun Charitable Trust, that sets out to create spaces where by quality educational support to underprivileged children can improve their learning outcomes.

It is an after-school support program that goes beyond academics to include life skills and all-round development.

Uttaranchal College of Education started working with this project in collaboration with Project Why. UCE sent first group of 6 students of B. Ed. 4th semester to start a social visit in Project why from 04-02-2020. It was one week visit .

Students Name- Prerna, Gunjan , Pulkit, kavita , Shalini, and Rohit. The report of first week dated 04.02.20 to 08.02.20

Report- During this week visit, Firstly They gave us brief about their Motive towards the Underprivileged students and the people who live in slums. And also they gave us instructions of how to work on slum areas. We started our visit from the area (kanwali village) to (Khurbura area) and (Gandhigram) along with two staff members from the NGO. During our visit we had gone to each house of slum. We awared the children and their parents. With the efforts and encouragement of our team, about 55 children’s are ready to connect with this NGO for the betterment of their children. We also motivate them to study and told them about important of education for their bright future.
