Also with changing modes of production and climate change the role of Life Sciences is increasing rapidly to the extent that our long-term well being would be highly dependent on our understanding of the biological processes. the distinction between of knowledge and its application towards the betterment of human existence has mostly ceased to exist.

Biotechnology:

Biotechnology is a highly interdisciplinary field that combines biological sciences with engineering technologies to manipulate living organisms and biological systems to produce products that advances food, pharmaceuticals and environment control.

Botany:

Botany is a discipline within Biology concerned with the study of living organisms called plants. This branch deals with the variety of plant life, the cell, flowering plant structure, pollination, adaptation , taxonomy and classification with some basic plant identification.

Zoology:

Zoology is an aspect of science that deals with the study of the animal evolution, habitat and behavior. Zoology is important for students to have and appreciation for nature. Our nature in not just composed of the humans but of plants and animals as well.

Microbiology:

Microbiology is the study of microscopic organisms either unicellular (Single Cell). Microbiology encompasses numerous sub-disciplines including virology, mycology, parasitology and bacteriology . Microbiologists traditionally rely on culture, staining, and microscopy.

Environmental Science:

Environment literally means surrounding and everything that affects and organism during its lifetime is collectively known as its environment. In another words “Environment is sum total of water, air and land interrelationships among themselves and also with the human being, other living organisms and property”.
