EVENT SUMMARY
On July 6th, The department of Medical Laboratory Technology & Medical Microbiology Organized workshop on the subject of “BLOOD COLLECTION MANAGEMENT AND TECHNIQUES”. This focused on the different techniques of blood collection and vein selection of the suitable site on patient’s body, and different management techniques of post collection complications. During the workshop our student deliberately shows their interest in different collection techniques.
On that day, our chief guest was Dr. Rashmi Dhingra, Principal of UCBMSH give a remarkable speech on the importance of learning techniques of blood collection. On the beginning of workshop Ms. Dhruvi Patel, Assistant Professor of MLT department gave meaningful presentation on the topic of “ Blood Collection Management & Techniques”.
Participation done by students of MLT department, BMM depart. After the presentation session students were divided by faculty in different group and they were advised to go in different laboratory of department. Than they have performed different techniques of blood collection. The whole session has been completed before lunch time (2:00 pm).
After the lunch time, Special session was arranged for BMLT 3rd year students. In which they were taught special techniques of Blood collection by Mr. Wassem zaidi. During the workshop students benefited a lot. They have shared their thoughts and doubts to faculty members.
